Cancer is a divine tap on the shoulder that says “the way you’re living is killing you.” Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. The majority of cancers, some 90–95% of cases, are due to environmental factors. The remaining 5–10% are due to inherited genetics. Environmental, as used by cancer researchers, means any cause that is not inherited genetically, such as lifestyle, economic and behavioral factors and not merely pollution. Common environmental factors that contribute to cancer death include tobacco (25–30%), diet and obesity (30–35%), infections (15–20%), radiation (both ionizing and non-ionizing, up to 10%), stress, lack of physical activity and environmental pollutants.

The risk of cancer increases significantly with age and, many cancers occur more commonly in developed countries. Rates are increasing as more people live to an old age and as lifestyle changes occur in the developing world.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. today, and the American Cancer Society estimates that of the 790,740 cancer cases diagnosed this year among women, 29% will be breast cancer. But while the government, modern medicine and much of the media continue to aggressively pursue their “war” on cancer, directing all focus upon the “cure” that remains just out of reach, cancer rates continue to skyrocket, along with the obscene costs of the current, “accepted” drug treatments and surgeries which are harmful and extreme to say the least.

The latest and greatest option for women to avoid cancer was published in 2010 by the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA): “Women who have inherited gene mutations in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 (BRCA1/2) genes have substantially elevated risks of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer... [the] women who are mutation carriers have cancer risk. Management options include risk reducing Salpingo-Oophorectomy (removal of ovaries), risk reducing mastectomy, annual cancer screening, and chemoprevention”. What they are recommending is, if you happen to possess this gene mutation, you should voluntarily have both your breasts and your ovaries removed as a “protective measure” against the possibility of developing either type of cancer!

-Gary Gordon, MD, DO, MD(H) the world’s leading expert on detoxification and has been sought after for consultation on difficult cases around the world. He is internationally recognized expert on Chelation therapy, Detoxification, Energy Medicine, Oxidative Therapies, and Anti-Aging Medicine states “This is not modern, 21st-century science, but medieval medicine at best!”

Survival time is defined as that interval of time between when the diagnosis of cancer is first made in a given patient and when that patient dies from their disease. In the past fifty years, tremendous progress has been made in the early diagnosis of cancer. In that period of time, tremendous progress had been made in the surgical ability to remove tumors. Tremendous progress has been made in the use of radiation and chemotherapy in their ability to shrink or destroy tumors. But, the survival time of the cancer patient today is no greater than it was fifty years ago. What does this mean? It obviously means that we are treating the wrong thing!” - Philip Binzel, M.D., Alive and Well, Chapter 14

I'll be the first to admit that despite all the billions put into cancer research, the end results of preventing cancer and treating advanced cancer have been disappointing. David Chan, MD, Oncologist

  1. Where did this come from (What caused this)?
  1. How do I keep it from spreading?

Big cancer wants you to think that cancer is not your fault and is just bad luck. It says that nothing you did matters and nothing you do for it will matter except for showing up for radiation, chemo and surgery. They want you to feel powerless, helpless and totally dependent on them. They are treating the symptom, the tumor, and doing absolutely nothing to prevent the spread of the disease. The only thing known to mankind today that will prevent the spread of cancer within the body is for that body’s own defense mechanisms to once again function normally. That’s what alternative therapy does. It treats the defense mechanism, not the tumor. Doesn’t it seem logical then, that we should be a lot less concerned with “What are we going to do about the tumor?” and a lot more concerned about what we are going to do about the defense mechanisms? Big cancer would have you believe that the tumor is the cancer. The tumor is not the cancer. The tumor is a symptom of a symptom. A tumor is a symptom of cancer and cancer is frequently a symptom of a weakened immune system.
Is it best to treat the symptom or is it best to treat the cause?

Chemotherapy is an indiscriminate killer of all cells in the body and it just happens to get some of the cancerous cells in the process

Cancer is normal and natural and every person develops cancerous and precancerous cells in their body but not every person develops tumors. The difference is the immune system. The immune system is designed to identify and eliminate viruses, pathogens, parasites and mutated cancer cells. Cells in the body are damaged all the time; DNA damage, mitochondrial damage, etc. and when injured, the body can repair them or they die; sometimes the cells will mutate to survive. Deprived of nutrients, oxygen and other essentials they can mutate and become cancerous.

All cells in the body are programed to die at some point but the cancerous cell does not do that.

When mutated, the cancerous cell grows uncontrollably and loses the auto self-destruct mechanism (apoptosis). It keeps living and multiplying and ultimately forms a tumor. Studies show the cancerous cells leave a tumor before the tumor is even big enough to detect and we start forming tumors in other parts of the body.

We believe it is part of alternative treatment we can have a great influence on outcome. If I contributed to my disease I can contribute to its cure. Choices matter. Where I live matters. Where I work matters. What I put in my mouth matters. Cancer is the convergence of multiple factors in ones life that all happen at the same time.

This can empower you to change. Accept responsibility for your situation and change everything you can to make it better. Many things happened in your life and the reason that they happen is you have allowed it. Diet and lifestyle habits can make you what you are today.

The immune system is designed to identify and remove these cancerous cells and when it doesn’t this system is overworked or suppressed and can’t keep up the demands placed upon it

We have scientific proof the body can heal itself and that is called spontaneous remission which also means that the body has healed itself.

Spontaneous remission is an unexpected improvement or cure from a disease that usually progresses. The spontaneous healing of cancer is a phenomenon that has been observed for hundreds and thousands of years and after having been the subject of many controversies, it is now accepted as an indisputable fact. A review of past reports demonstrates that spontaneous regression is usually associated with acute infections, fever, and immune-stimulation. In 1891, William Coley, MD of New York's Memorial Hospital developed the most effective single-agent anticancer therapy from nature, which faded into oblivion for various reasons. Cancer therapies have been standardized and have improved since Coley's day, but surprisingly, modern cancer patients do not fare better than patients treated 50 or more years ago as concluded by researchers in 1999. The value of Coley's observation is that rather than surviving additional years with cancer, many of the patients who received his therapy lived the rest of their lives without cancer. In our relentless efforts to go beyond nature to fight cancer, we often overlook the facts nature provides to heal our maladies.

In 1993, the Institute of Noetic Sciences published Spontaneous Remissions: An Annotated Bibliography, which catalogued the world's medical literature on the subject. It included references to cancer and a wide range of illnesses. It is essentially the largest database of medically reported cases of spontaneous remission in the world, with more than 3500 references from more than 800 journals in 20 languages.

Kelly Turner, PhD, has analyzed more than 1000 cases of spontaneous remission and written a book: Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds. Dr. Turner prefers the term "radical remission" because typically there is nothing spontaneous about these unusual cures. "I wondered why none of the physicians I worked with had ever mentioned these,"

"I was surprised how little research was being done by the medical community on these patients who had healed from cancer," she said in an interview. "Many of the patients had healed without undergoing Western medical treatment or, following its failure, they used other therapies to extend their survival."

These were primarily case studies, but there was no information about how the patient managed to survive, she noted. "No one had asked the patients what they had done to heal,"

Most of the cancer survivors she interviewed reported that their doctors never asked what, if anything, they were doing that might be helping them. They also said that no one was keeping track of them.

"Everyone has seen cases like this in their practice," Dr. Turner said, "yet few have ever investigated them."

"It is not only scientifically irresponsible, it is also foolish, since there is the potential to learn so much about how the body heals," she said

Although the cancer patients she analyzed used a number of strategies, there were 9 factors common to most of the patients.

  1. The patients radically changed their diets
  2. Took control of their health
  3. Followed their intuition
  4. Used herbs and supplements
  5. Released suppressed emotions
  6. Increased positive emotions
  7. Embraced social support
  8. Deepened their spiritual connection
  9. Had strong reasons for living

The spontaneous remission from cancer was defined by Everson and Cole in their 1966 book as "The partial or complete disappearance of a malignant tumor in the absence of all treatment, or in the presence of therapy which is considered inadequate to exert significant influence on neoplastic disease”.

It is likely that the frequency of spontaneous regression in small tumors has been drastically underrated. In a carefully designed study on mammography it was found that 22% of all breast cancer cases underwent spontaneous regression.

Everson and Cole offered as explanation for spontaneous regression from cancer:

“In many of the collected cases ... it must be acknowledged that the factors or mechanisms responsible for spontaneous regression are obscure or unknown…In other cases, the protocols strongly suggest that an immune mechanism was responsible”.

Challis and Stam, even more at a loss, concluded in 1989, "In summary, we are left to conclude that, although a great number of interesting and unusual cases continue to be published annually, there is still little conclusive data that explains the occurrence of spontaneous regression."

There are several case reports of spontaneous regressions from cancer occurring after a fever brought on by infection, suggesting a possible causal connection. If this coincidence in time would be a causal connection, it should as well precipitate as prophylactic effect, i.e. feverish infections should lower the risk to develop cancer later. This could be confirmed by collecting epidemiological studies.

Brilliant scientists and researchers have been working tirelessly to find cures. But treatment has been unchanged since the 70’s despite all the walks and research. Conventional treatment remains to be cut, burn and poison!

Cancer prevention is defined as active measures to decrease cancer risk. The vast majority of cancer cases are due to environmental risk factors. Many of these environmental factors are controllable lifestyle choices. Thus, cancer is generally preventable. Between 70% and 90% of common cancers are due to environmental factors and therefore potentially preventable.

Ask yourself why do you think you have cancer? Conventional medicine will say that you have nothing to do with it and just shrug it off; it was just bad luck or bad genes or you can blame genetics all of which make you powerless.

  • The cancer industry wants to make you a helpless, powerless victim
  • Being a victim entails not having any power over your situation and becoming dependent on what doctors tell you and there’s nothing you can do personally to affect your future
  • Go ahead and eat anything you want just make sure you don’t lose weight seems to be the conventional wisdom today

Greater than 30% of cancer deaths could be prevented by avoiding risk factors including: tobacco, excess weight/obesity, inadequate diet, physical inactivity, alcohol, sexually transmitted infections and air pollution. Not all environmental causes are controllable, such as naturally occurring background radiation and cancers caused through hereditary genetic disorders and thus are not preventable via personal behavior. We suggest that even what might be thought of as a hereditary genetic cause can actually be due to learned lifestyle influences. For example, growing up on a farm could expose one to the same toxicants that affected other family members giving them cancer.

Many cancers can be prevented by not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, not drinking too much alcohol, eating plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains, vaccination against certain infectious diseases, not eating too much processed and red meat, and avoiding too much sunlight exposure.

The risk of cancer increases significantly with age and many cancers occur more commonly in developed countries. Rates are increasing as more people live to an old age and as lifestyle changes occur in the developing world.

Epigenetics says that diet, lifestyle and environment determine how your genes express themselves.

We want to turn on or activate as many of the anticancer genes as possible and turn off the bad expressing genes. Your genetics may load the gun but diet, lifestyle and environment pull the trigger.

Cancer starts in the bone marrow where all the cells are made and there are signals that tell the cells to grow abnormally

So many women live in fear, resigned to believing they have no choice or control in getting cancer, due to factors such as age, family history or genetics. Conventional belief has been that genes control their own expression, and are therefore the direct cause of certain diseases. But genes are in fact, NOT self-regulating. They do not fully predetermine your health or mean you are doomed to suffer some inevitable fate like cancer.

“Genes are merely blueprints. They are activated and controlled by their environment, which includes diet, toxic exposures, thoughts and emotions. Environment can initiate more than 30,000 different variations, allowing for an astounding amount of leeway in modifying the expression or “read-out” of each gene. I firmly believe that the role of genetic testing, and further study in the field of epigenetics in health and disease, will eventually supplant the current medical paradigm, and this is great news” Gary Gordon, MD

Dr. Margaret Cuomo (sister of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo):

"More than 40 years after the war on cancer was declared, we have spent billions fighting the good fight. The National Cancer Institute has spent some $90 billion on research and treatment during that time. Some 260 nonprofit organizations in the United States have dedicated themselves to cancer — more than the number established for heart disease, AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease, and stroke combined. Together, these 260 organizations have budgets that top $2.2 billion."

"It’s true there have been small declines in some common cancers since the early 1990s, including male lung cancer and colon and rectal cancer in both men and women. And the fall in the cancer death rate — by approximately 1 percent a year since 1990 — has been slightly more impressive. Still, that’s hardly cause for celebration. Cancer’s role in one out of every four deaths in this country remains a haunting statistic."

"Simply put, we have not adequately channeled our scientific know-how, funding, and energy into a full exploration of the one path certain to save lives: prevention. That it should become the ultimate goal of cancer research has been recognized since the war on cancer began. When I look at NCI’s budget request for fiscal year 2012, I’m deeply disappointed, though past experience tells me I shouldn’t be surprised. It is business as usual at the nation’s foremost cancer research establishment. More than $2 billion is requested for basic research into the mechanism and causes of cancer. Another $1.3 billion is requested for treatment. And cancer prevention and control? It gets $232 million altogether. (Remarkably, in the very same budget report, the NCI states, “Much of the progress against cancer in recent decades has stemmed from successes in the areas of prevention and control.”

In 2012 an investigative reporter for WSB TV in Atlanta Georgia revealed a shocking amount of money that does not go to fight cancer. Significant amounts go to soliciting for more donations and executive salaries. Watchdog groups do not hold the American Cancer Society (ACS) in high regard. The American Institute of Philanthropy told reporters they could be doing so much better. Last month, the group gave the ACS just a "C" rating for financial efficiency. "They're at a point of reasonableness, but just barely,"

In 2010 the ACS claimed it spent 72 percent of its nearly $1 billion budget on programs and 21 percent on fund raising while the split is closer to 62 percent and 31 percent since the ACS spent millions of programming dollars to pay for direct mailing solicitations. Investigation also found donors on the hook for the charity's ballooning employee pension plan. At last count, their obligation was more than $600 million, four times what the ACS spent on cancer research last year. The reporter asked the highest executive made available to Channel 2 by the ACS about those numbers.

They found that the ACS made across-the-board cuts to programs in the order of tens of million dollars. ACS tax records show the CEO's total compensation nearly doubled to more than $2.2 million during that time. ACS officials were quick to point out that by law, it has no choice but to pay those pensions it promised to employees. As for executive salaries, the ACS said they are all set by an independent committee and are market-based to attract and keep top talent.

Massive amounts of money are poured into the system for research to find a cure for cancer. Only 21% of money that Susan G. Komen raises goes to cancer research “for the cure”.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, donating to cancer research is essentially giving free money to drug companies who make billions in profit every year, and don’t need your money, and are only interested in research that can lead to patentable, highly profitable drugs that they can sell back to you.

The best way to help cancer patients is not by donating to “cancer research”. The best way to help cancer patients is to put money in their hands to help with groceries, gas, medical bills, treatment, supplements, rent, utilities, child care, etc.

Think of cancer as a weed in a garden. Modern western oncology is focused on destroying the weed while integrative oncology concentrates on the soil the weed grows in and making the soil as inhospitable as possible to the growth and spread of the weed.

We don’t recommend these products if you are currently undergoing chemo therapy but after your chemotherapy we believe in avoiding environmental toxicants, cleaning up the body of toxicants and emotions. Everything we’re doing mimics nature. It is like a garden that in order to keep the flowers growing healthily we need to get rid of the weeds. They are the fastest growing thing in the garden and we want to feed things that will keep them from coming back.

These things make a garden where only good stuff can grow:

  • Diet (Healthy Food Choices)
  • Exercise (Routine Physical Activity)
  • Detoxification (at the Cellular level)
  • Hormone Balance
  • Targeted Supplementation (“Anti-cancer” properties)
  • Stress Reduction

We want to reduce the stress on our body, reduced the toxic load, simplify your life and create an environment where your body can thrive and cancer cannot thrive. The interior terrain of our body is either hospitable or inhospitable to cancer.

Epigenetics is the Science of looking at different genes and how they are expressed/repressed. Different genes can be turned on or off depending on external influences around them. These non-genetic influences can affect gene expression. Epigenetic mechanisms are affected by these factors processes:

  • Developmental (in utero or childhood)
  • Environmental toxicants (including Heavy Metals)
  • Drugs/Pharmaceuticals
  • Aging
  • Diet
  • Organo-phosphate poisons

If you are toxic and have epigenetic changes from environmental toxicity, the immune system is dealing with this in a “primary” effort, which may allow proliferation of cells that the body does not immediately recognize as abnormal. A properly functioning immune system will knock out cancerous cells. Everybody has cancerous cells in their body but the immune system keeps them in check.

We believe that given the opportunity the body can heal itself. Our philosophy is based on world research. This independent research is showing the value of bio-botanicals in fighting cancer. Based on looking at research we want to develop a system to assist and help with the body fight cancer.

Our products have been developed as an adjunct to any cancer therapy. These bio botanicals are completely safe and will not react with any therapies you are currently receiving. We could almost call them chemo-botanicals.

These will not become drugs because they are not patentable. “Big Cancer” will not pour tons of money into this because the big money only goes into that which can be patented, and trademarked,

“I believe people, especially those getting cancer treatments, really benefit from having both a Western diagnosis, as well as a whole-person approach. Good nutrition is an important part of the prescription, but other options are: fitness training, massage, acupuncture, herbs, biofeedback, meditation, guided imagery, integrative psychiatry, yoga, or tai chi.”-Donald Abrams, MD. Dr. Abrams is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California San Francisco and Chief of Hematology / Oncology at San Francisco General Hospital. He provides Integrative Oncology consultations at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.
